Nitrogen is good for plants, and that’s why it’s in the fertilizers we put on our lawns.  Unfortunately, too much nitrogen wrecks havoc on aquatic ecosystems.  How and why should we keep fertilizer from washing into waterways?  Steve Preston answers that question in a Naples Daily News article.  Read it here.
